What do you do if you want to use some other signal than clk and reset to drive a flip flop? I've been trying all day and I can't figure it out on my own or find any information whatsoever.
Code: Select all
dff ctr(.clk(clk), .rst(rst));
There needs to be WAY more information on the basic building blocks of this language, and it needs to be more readable. ".clk(clk) is confusing. To change the input from clk, do I change the one outside or inside the parenthesis? Is it even possible?
Before you start with a 32 bit wide flip-flop, maybe do a single-bit wide flip-flop to illustrate the concept. Let students play with the basic building blocks before chaining lots of them together.
