Papilio IDE

Post by Edwin Noorlander » January 22nd, 2014, 4:36 am

I'm a newbie with FPGA 's, but would it be possible to use the Papilio IDE with the MOJO :?:
I have a Apple MacBook Retina and prefer to work under OSX. :D

Hey Edwin,

Unfortunately, even the Papilio can't be used on OSX. I'm not sure what IDE you are referring to, unless it's the Arduino IDE used to program the softcore they use. If that is the case, you can do the same thing with the Mojo using the Arduino IDE.

The problem is Xilinx's tools don't work on OSX and those are the only tools that can generate the FPGA config files.

However, people have used their Macs with virtual machines. You can search around the forums for some threads, heres one to get started ... =66&p=1104
