The open source tools for the Lattice iCE40 are getting very complete and stable. Any thoughts of jumping to iCE40 for the next Mojo? Good evening! Found a great project building the SuperH SH2 CPU on xilinx FPGA's. Unlike a lot of projects, this one seems wrapped in makefiles pretty well! +1 on the open source tools... one *BIG* turn off for FPGA's is the high bar to entry. I really don't want to download and activate a 2GB development environment that offers poor Linux support. The ecosystem around Verilog in most projects depends tightly on how the big closed source tools work. We ...
