Re: NTSC Shield... It Works!

The Data Bus Test and Device Test now function for the onboard SRAM on the NTSC Shield. Time to finish the Address Bus Test and I'll be done!

Re: NTSC Shield... It Works!

New updates on the Hackaday.io page https://hackaday.io/project/25560-ntsc-shield

I added BMP file output to the test benches to QA what you'd see on the television screen.

Re: NTSC Shield... It Works!

Thanks! Verilog source is available on Github now (that was a new learning experience).

NTSC Shield... It Works!

Check out my NTSC Shield I designed for the Mojo V3. It's taken me a while to get it working, mostly because life gets in the way.

Re: SRAM Addressing

Ok, took some careful probing, because I didn't want to physically influence the pin (it's an SMT SRAM chip), but it was a floater. I pushed it back into position and resoldered it and it's good now. What a pain! It was the A17 address pin that was all jacked up. That was a pain.

Re: SRAM Addressing

Ok, after some testing, I'm concluding that pin 17 must be tied high, maybe through a solder bridge I can't see, or something. It's driving me nuts.

SRAM Addressing

I've built a NTSC shield for the Mojo V3 and it includes 1 MB of SRAM on the board. I've built an SRAM test circuit in Verilog and I noticed that whatever is written in RAM, say... address 0x00003, will also be written at 0x20003. This works without fail... I even tried writing to 0x40000, and it al...

NTSC Shield

Hello,

I've built a module to output NTSC video from the Mojo V3, interfacing with the Analog Devices AD725. I want to build my own NTSC shield. The Eagle library files for the Mojo should work just fine for the basic board, right?

Re: Hello World Tutorial

To close the loop on this for other readers, Justin and I have been communicating via e-mail. I've flashed to B1.2.8, re-downloaded the master Mojo files, did a completely clean, new project, and now it works. Thinking that ISE was not fully building for some reason, or the mojo base files I had wer...
